There you are!! emoticon

Is that, like, THE Peter Sutcliffe, the other half of Hindley and Sutcliffe? What an awful subject.
Just as bad would be that sick, demented person who shot those little girls at the Amish School. emoticon

No Ron, you are thinking of Ian Brady. Peter Sutcliffe is the Yorkshire Ripper. It's research for the book I'm writing about serial killers

emoticon That was just terrible about that man and the Amish kids.

I like the idea of a book on serial killers. I know from working as a substitute librarian(one of my hats) that they are always popular reads.

Hope the words flow smoothly and quickly.

Good-LUck!

you're right Cathy, it was terrible and sad that it seems to happen so often.

The planned book is astrological profiles of serial killers, I've already finished with Denis Nilsen, Sutcliffe is next

Of course you are right. I should have checked before I said anything, not that Sutcliffe is any gift to humanity.

None of them are Gruffy but they are a fascinating study.

My day today, my acting managers ex husband has died, so she isn't really up to workig - so work was busy. Writing this afternoon, then I'm off out to an astrology meeting soon

I have had a busy day working through a list of chores. Next job is to fix a leaking toilet, (what fun!) If I get that done soon I'm going to put my feet up for a time and catch up on a couple of programs that I taped during the week because I couldn't spare the time to watch them when they were broadcast.

Re: Tell us about your day

emoticon Hi to all! My day yesterday was busy!
Work in the a.m. then a potluck for my daughters 4H banquet. Some errands(we have to travel a bit away to go to her 4H activities as they are in a bigger town up north). Chores(horses, Chickens, etc..), clean the house up, pick some produce from the garden. Things are getting cold here so we have to clean it up now. Everything but the carrots are going to have to come in or go. I still need to do some digging up of bulbs and herbs too.
I am at work now and it is not so busy-and my boss is off for a dental appt. so I am playing for a while. Hope all is well with you all in delintiad land.
CAthy

Re: Tell us about your day

I think I saw a first day cover for 4H but it was a long time ago. Is it a kids organisation along the lines of the scouts?
Your day sounds a bit like the old song "Summer Is Over." I know Frank Ifield recorded that in the sixties but you probably haven't heard of him. For some reason I keep thinking of Glen Yarborough and that song. I don't know if he ever sang it, but if he didn't, he should have. It would have suited him.

The night runs away with the day
The grass that was green is now hay
The world goes around without even a sound
And it looks like the summer is over

The rains tumble down in the sky
Young swallows have learned how to fly
The leaves that were green are no longer so green
And it looks like the summer is over

The sun and the moon take turns in the sky
The days drift on by too soon
The meadows are kissed by a cool autumn mist
Far away now is june

The birds fly away to the sun
The leaves touch the ground one by one
The breeze hurries by without even goodbye
And it looks like the summer is over

The sun and the moon take turns in the sky
The days drift on by too soon
The meadows are kissed by a cool autumn mist
Far away now is june

The birds fly away to the sun
The leaves touch the ground one by one
The breeze hurries by without even goodbye
And it looks like the summer is over

And it looks like the summer is over
